They are also responsible for executing FIFA’s/Levy’s, and extraditions. Currently there are 28 full time personnel assigned to the Street Operations Division. Of these personnel, we have one assigned full time to each of the following:

  • U. S. Marshal’s Southeast Fugitive Squad
  • Counter Narcotics Team
  • Drug Enforcement Administration’s Regional Task Force.

There are also three investigators assigned to our Fugitive Squad.

Even with such a small unit, the Street Operations Division boasted the second highest arrest rate in Chatham County.

The enforcement division also oversees the Canine Unit that assists and trains local, Federal, and Private organizations for the purpose of Narcotic and Explosive detection.

The unit deploys six narcotic canines and two explosive canines specially trained in evidence recovery and protecting human life.
