The Chatham County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) Training Unit creates, implements and promotes individual and organizational growth through professional and diverse entry-level and in-service training programs. The Training Unit focuses on professional development, inmate welfare, community partnerships and public safety. The training curricula is delivered through classroom presentations, practical exercises, blended learning and interactive scenario-based formats.

CCSO strives to ensure that all employees meet applicable, legislated training requirements and have adequate training to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently. CCSO conducts training in a manner to ensure personnel are the most effective correction and law enforcement officers in the State of Georgia.
